What are your terms & conditions?

 

You'll find answers to many questions regarding bookings, refunds and our cancellation policy in our terms & conditions. Whilst our staff will do their utmost to advise you about important terms and conditions when you are making a booking, due to time constraints it is impractical for them to detail every aspect. Therefore please be aware that it is your responsibility to read the appropriate documents or ask any specific questions relating to your booking.

Do I need to book?

Our pitches get booked well in advance for the main school holiday periods so if you are planning to visit us in peak season then early booking is essential.

During the quieter periods it is not so busy on-site so most of the time we have pitches available but if you want a specific pitch then again booking is advisable.

We do suggest that you give us a call on 01271 882334 or check availability online (however remember if online availability is low we do hold a number of offline pitches in reserve so call us!)

What deposit is required?

To book a pitch we require a deposit of £50 per week or part of a week, so if your booking is 8 days the deposit required would be £100. This booking payment is then deducted from your balance and will be clearly shown on any paperwork that you may receive eg. an e-mail confirmation.

In addition, the optional cancellation cover charge of £1.25 per night is automatically added at the time of booking to any bookings over £75. This can be removed on request however please be aware that we do not otherwise offer refunds for cancellation. Please also read the terms and conditions prior to booking to be sure of the details of the cover.

What if I have to cancel?

Your booking payment means that you have reserved a pitch and that we are obliged to hold that pitch for you. If you cancel at the last minute, it may be that we have turned others away, so we do not give refunds for cancellations, except under the cancellation plan.

Please read our terms and conditions before making your booking, as you will be asked if you accept these. We do advise you take out our cancellation plan if you have no other form of cover.

When will my pitch be available?

Your pitch will be ready for you by 1pm on the day of your arrival. In the quieter seasons it may be available earlier but we advise that if you expect to arrive before 1pm that you contact us to assess the situation. We have only a limited arrivals area on-site so there is nowhere for you to wait for any length of time.

What if we arrive late?

During the low season we accept arrivals until dusk as it is not considered to be safe for our duty wardens to attempt to pitch people in the dark. As the evenings get lighter then we are able to extend our out of hours cover, with the latest arrival time being 8.45pm in summer. We do however ask that you let us know if you are planning to arrive after 5pm (6pm in the peak season).

What if I am unhappy with my pitch?

The team at Newberry Valley work hard to ensure that you are fully satisfied with the facilties and service during your visit, but if something is not to your satisfaction, we will want to put it right as quickly as possible. 

Please tell us straight away and do not wait until the end of your holiday or when you get home.

What time must I vacate my pitch?

 

The standard departure time by which you are requested to leave your pitch is 11am on your last day. This allows the park staff to prepare the pitch for the next person to occupy it and is essential in peak season periods. However during the quieter seasons you can extend your stay to later in the day for a nominal fee if the pitch is available. Ask at reception and they will do their best to organise this for you.

 

Do the pitches have electric?

All of the pitches have an electric hook-up point providing power at 16amps.

You will require an electric hook-up caravan or camping lead, which will have the appropriate connections to join with the site point on one end, and either into your caravan or motorhome or provide a single or triple three pin socket on the other end.

Do you charge for showers?

In with the your pitch fee is free use of the showers and hot water in the sinks. There is a charge of £2 for a bath in the bathroom.

How much does the laundry cost?

Each of the machines has a corresponding coin box... the washing machines take £3 per wash and for the tumble driers it is £1 for 20 mins. A full load with towels or jeans would require £3 for complete drying.

Is there a baby-changing area?

There's a convenient sturdy work-surface with a padded bady changing mat where you can clean and change your baby, with a nappy bin close by.

There's also a free microwave in the kitchen area for warming milk or baby food.

Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs and we know how important they are to a family so they are welcome, as long as they are always on a lead whilst on site, and of course cleaned up after them.

We normally accept a maximum of two dogs per unit - any more must be by prior agreement. We ask that dogs are not left on site unattended at any time, as it can cause disturbance and concern for other guests.

Can I have a BBQ?

The aroma of BBQs is all part of the great camping experience as far as we are concerned. All we ask is that you keep the barbeque off the grass (we do provide blocks for disposable BBQs) and that you give due consideration to your neighbours and others on-site.
