For your Information

Set in an open valley, the park is laid out in terraces and there are some areas of undulation. Close to the site entrance there is a small parking area, which is on a slight slope and laid in tarmac.

Reception & Central Amenities Building

There is a concrete step of about 8" high and then a right-angle turn to a ramp leading to the reception entrance. There is a hand rail on one side of the ramp and a wall on the other, then there is a raised door threshold of approximately 3" high into the reception and small shop.

The reception and shop are all on one level. The service counters are all set at 3ft high, for ease of use by all visitors. Non-glare, non-flicker lighting is provided in reception and shop.

Pitch Areas and Park Grounds

All pitch areas can be fully accessed by car on tarmac or grass roads, and have space for parking for one car provided on the pitch. Minimal lighting is provided around the park, which is kept to a minimum in line with the park’s environmental policy.

There are four fields, each with terraces.

Field 1 has basic pitches on two of the three terraces, which are separated by barriers and hedging, with only sloping grass paths interconnecting between the terraces. On the lower terrace in filed 1 there are large serviced pitches, ideal for motor homes.

In Field 2 there are a four terraces with a mixture of basic and large basic pitches. Situated between fields 2 and 3 is the toilet and shower amenities block (for details see separate information below).

Field 3 has electric pitches which are on three terraces, and they are all serviced. Here you will find some standard, large and super pitches (these categories are all based on the size of the pitch: click here for more details of facilities and sizes).

Finally in field 4, which is the furthest from the facilities being about 200 yards away, there are premier pitches with electric hook-up and a picnic bench. These overlook the lake.

Access to the children’s play area is via an additional terraced area and over a bridge which crosses the stream.

Dogs are welcome on the park and must be kept on leads. Assistance dogs are welcome in all facilities and areas at all times. At the rear of field 4 is a meadow area where dogs can be walked and there is access to the woodland walk too.
