Park Facilities
Detailed Park Information
Reception & Central Amenities Building
There is a concrete step of about 8" high and then a right-angle turn to a ramp leading to the reception entrance. There is a hand rail on one side of the ramp and a wall on the other, then there is a raised door threshold of approximately 3" high into the reception and small shop.
The reception and shop are all on one level. The service counters are all set at 3ft high, for ease of use by all visitors. Non-glare, non-flicker lighting is provided in reception and shop.
Pitch Areas and Park Grounds
All pitch areas can be fully accessed by car on tarmac or grass roads, and have space for parking for one car provided on the pitch. Minimal lighting is provided around the park, which is kept to a minimum in line with the park’s environmental policy.
There are four fields, each with terraces. Fields 1 and 2 have basic pitches, each with three terraces separated by barriers and hedging, with only sloping grass paths interconnecting between the terraces. Situated between fields 2 and 3 is the toilet and shower amenities block (for details see separate information below). Field 3 has electric pitches also on three terraces, and then in field 4, which is the furthest from the facilities being about 200 yards away, there are large pitches with electric hook-up. These overlook the lake.
Access to the children’s play area is via an additional terraced area and over a bridge which crosses the stream.
At the rear of field 4 is a meadow area where dogs can be walked and there is access to the woodland walk too.
Toilet & Shower Amenities Blocks
The ablutions block is accessed by sloped concrete ramp to the ladies, men’s and disabled toilet and shower facilities. The disabled shower has a seat, which is wall mounted with non-slip flooring throughout.
There is a laundry room on the park, with washing machines, tumble dryers, spinner, sink for hand washing and wall-mounted iron. There is also a dishwashing area with standard height sinks.
