Our intention is to work with integrity in all that we do. The team is headed by Dawn and Martin Fletcher and supported by
- senior warden couple Margaret & Steve Astbury
- receptionists Val Chitty and Hannah Ashcroft
- site wardens Jason Westwood, Karen & Lee Nicholls,
together with our other family members Camilla Fletcher, Ashley Fletcher and Darren Light, and of course assisted by our grandson Eli.
We are the guardians of this beautiful valley and the whole team take great pride in the park, which has won a Gold David Bellamy Award for Conservation, Nature and Wildlife for the past eleven consecutive years. The site is abundant with wildlife including rabbits, buzzards, badgers, owls, pheasants, many different garden birds, foxes and occasionally even a deer or two pass through the woods. We all love animals - we have our own rescue chickens as well as four gorgeous alpacas who will provide you with hours entertainment when you watch them from our viewing area.
We are constantly seeking better ways to work in harmony and balance with the natural world and at the same time maintain the high standards of service and care in the business. We aim to nurture all who live and visit the valley -the flora, fauna and of course staff and customers. Our ethos and the essence of the park is to provide you with the opportunity to:-
- share this beautiful valley and connect with it's tranquility and nature
- enjoy the quality time with friends and family and oodles of fresh Devon air
- relax and recharge amidst the green fields and traditional hedgerows
Like our staff, we are all hugely passionate about this place - we love the wildlife, the intrinsic beauty of the land, and the enthralling magic that can be found here. We strive to be great stewards, committed to being environmentally responsible as best we can. And when it comes to the family, we are all involved with the running of the site in different ways.
In addition to the work on the park some of us have other passions and talents too. Martin is an aspirational business coach and mentor, helping people get new businesses up and running as well as assisting those with existing businesses who will benefit from some supportive guidance and coaching.
I am a medicine woman - the name given to a traditional healer. I help people to find their way and purpose in life, dealing with pain and suffering as well as health, relationship, money, business & career and personal issues. I use a combination of ancient shamanic healing, vibrational medicine, and working with plants, herbs and sound with a heart-based, non-judgemental and compassionate approach.
Camilla is a movement expert. She uses her in-depth Pilates training and yoga, together with intuitive practices, meditation and healing skills to help people become more connected and tuned into their bodies, thus leading to better health, greater energy and awareness. Her partner Darren is a keen triathlon and Iron Man participant.
Ashley spends every minute of his spare time training to be a semi-professional cyclist, specialising in Criterium races with a talent for sprinting.
So that's us..... we'd love for you to come and meet the team sometime!
