What a great way to have a break from the mad rush of everyday life and relax in a luxurious yet simple manner. Let all your hassles fade away as you enjoy the fresh Devon air and some quality time to relax and recharge. Fall asleep to the sound of the owls in the woods behind and wake to the birdsong and the delicious smell of a sizzling breakfast cooked on the camp stove that gets your mouth watering in anticipation for that first bite. Newberry Valley provides the ideal environment where you can unplug from the buzz and chaos of everyday life, returning to a slow and peaceful existence where you can talk, listen and laugh with those you love, or simply find a comfy spot in the sun with a good book, a glass of wine and your imagination.
Our shepherd's huts offer the perfect balance between convenience, fun, and simplicity - camping without the canvas! We provide the shelter and you bring everything else. And best of all, you don't even have the stress of setting up the tent, caravan or awning to worry about, plus of course when its time to go home you haven't got to battle with packing any damp tents or awnings away.
The huts are situated near the ancient woodland and meadow, so instead of traffic noise you can relax to the traditional sounds of the countryside with a lovely view over the lake. The entrance is less than five minutes walk from the two beaches of Combe Martin bay and the pubs, shops and cafes of this quaint coastal village, you've got all that you need for a wonderful holiday with plenty to explore for all ages. Even those moments when it is raining, you can watch the pitter patter of the raindrops sliding down the window while you are warm and cosy inside, so these are perfect for a quiet out of season break away. All you need to do is just focus on making some wonderful holiday memories!
Both are constructed in a traditional way and are fully insulated and with a carpeted floor. You'll find a couple of power points for your convenience. Don't forget your torch, wellies and garden chairs if you want them. You will also need to bring all your food and drink requirement and you may choose to bring a BBQ. Dogs are permitted (max 2 subject to size) in both huts and are charged at the usual daily rate plus a £10 cleaning charge.
"If you want a relaxing break I recommend Newberry Valley every time."A 5 star review on Facebook from Wendy McCoy
THE TINY POD
Smaller and much more compact than the huts, the tiny pod provides a comfortable and rather unique option for hikers, bikers and couples to camp without having to bring, unpack and erect then repack a tent.
The pod is big enough for two adults and provides a cosy environment to sleep comfortably, with a fully sprung waterproof mattress. You'll need to bring all your own bedding and camping equipment. There is a built-in luggage storage compartment and the solar powered lighting and USB charging points are useful too.
