Dog-Friendly Holidays
We love to welcome dogs and their responsible owners here at Newberry Valley.
We know how much your furry friends mean to you and your family so we do our utmost to ensure that your pooches are provided for and everyone has a fabulous stay.
Facilities for You & Your Dog
You'll find a large fully fenced dog field so they can let off steam to their heart's content and there's even a dog wash area by the main facilities to swill off any muddy paws. Plus we have a dog grooming service in the village should your pooch need some more luxurious pampering.
There are several vets in the area so you can rest assured that appropriate emergency care is available close by.
Where to Go with Your Dog
There are plenty of dog-friendly pubs in the village in fact, all the pubs in Combe Martin welcome dogs on leads - The Dolphin, The F'ocsle, The Pack of Cards, The Castle, and the George & Dragon. (Check out our blog post on some of the fine dining in the area.)
You'll find a whole host of footpaths and interesting walks around the village and surrounding areas which can be explored with your dogs. (We sell some great little pocket maps with them all clearly marked in the reception.)
There are several local dog shows during the summer season which are great fun for your four-legged friend as well as all the family.

In addition, some of the attractions of the region, including National Trust's Arlington Court and theme park, The Milky Way, allow your furry friends and have plenty to keep your doggies busy for hours. (Explore some of the places to visit in the village and around the area.)
Doggie Rules & Guidelines
We do have a few rules and guidelines so that everything runs smoothly and safely, especially during the summer months when the site is busy.
Outlined below you'll find our Code of Conduct for you and your dogs:

Your dog(s) must be with you at all times and not left alone unattended in the park if you go off-site.

All dogs must be on a lead at all times, except when in the specified doggie exercise area provided they are kept under control and are not a danger to others.

Dogs must remain on a lead in the woodland walk.

Your dog(s) must be securely tethered when out on your pitch and not allowed to wander to adjacent pitches.

A responsible adult must always be present when walking the dog on-site to ensure adequate control and in case cleaning up poo is required.

Dogs are not permitted in the fenced area around the lake or on or near the children’s play area.

You must clean up after your dog. Poo bags can go in the bins provided.
